Homeopathy – A System of Medicine
Homoeopathy is based on the premise that energy (vitality or dynamis), is at the core of our being. When this is disturbed, we experience symptoms in all parts of our being – the body, mind and emotions.
When we approach our state of health from this perspective, it makes sense to view our being holistically. When we are sick, or experiencing symptoms, our body – mind – spirit is out of balance in some way. The symptoms direct the homoeopath to understand the state of your health. They don’t need to be extreme or life threatening symptoms, they can express as a feeling like, “I’m not sick, but I know I’m not totally well.”
Our aim is to find a medicine (called a remedy) to enhance your health and healing process, one that matches the state of your energy at that time. A well chosen remedy will increase your resilience as it works to enhance your inner vitality.
We look at symptoms collectively, not as conditions. We view them as indicators of how our vitality is responding to the world around us. We integrate the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of our being in the prescription of a remedy. Homoeopathy, also written as homeopathy, is the medicine system that uses this approach.
Homeopathy is a system of natural health care in worldwide use for over 200 years. It is recognised by the World Health Organisation as the second largest therapeutic system. While it is most popular in India and South America, over thirty million people in Europe, and millions of others around the world, also benefit from using it.
